NARS Makeup Primer with SPF 20

NARS! UGH! I'm so dissapointed in this one! The primer with SPF 20 was NOT one that I would recommend. It is much too heavy and greasy. I find that it doesn't serve it's purpose well because your makeup can't hold on to anything-its just too slippery! I already have oily skin, but even for someone who is dry, I'm not sure that this is truly the best primer you could find. Perhaps something like Laura Geller's Spackle might be a better fit?

BeautiControl Secret Agent Undercover Foundation

This foundation gets an A in my book! If you need heavy coverage and don't want to look like you're wearing heavy paint this foundation is for you! It's perfect for oily skin, over a moisturizer is amazing for dry skin, and it will stay on all day. I use this product to prime someone with bad acne or uneven skin for airbrush foundation. Once I starting using it on clients I fell in love! It is so easy to blend while it's wet and creamy, but as soon as it soaks into your skin it stays put and is undetectable. If you're jumping off the mineral-makeup band wagon like me, then you don't have to worry about serious breakouts-BeautiControl is a skin-care based company and I would completely trust any of their ingredients! I'm loving it!

Mary Kay Medium-Coverage Foundation

Ok, I know it doesn't sound like me, and it might be perceived as slightly uncool, but I am IN LOVE with this foundation. Hello people!!!! First of all, there is a reason why every makeup artist tells us to start with a concealer, then liquid foundation... because it WORKS... and this foundation is amazing. It's not too much and it stays on all day. Sometimes I skip my foundation primer and this makeup stays flawless still. I set it with some powder and then apply my bronzer, blush, and highlighter, and everything is still there until the end of my busy day. I will be reviewing some more liquid foundations and I'll blog about them so if you're over the mineral makeup trend like me, then stay tuned!

Urban Decay Complexion Primer Potion - Pore Perfecting

This Primer is unbelievable. It really does perfect your pores, it makes your skin feel amazing, and if you thought you loved Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion, you haven't seen anything yet! This is like the Eyeshadow Primer Potion for you entire face. I am totally over the mineral makeup foundation fad now, so I've been using it with a little bit of liquid foundation. Previously I used it with The Supernatural Airbrushed Canvas by Philosophy, which is a powder foundation, and I loved it!

This is my FAVORITE foundation at the moment, and I DO mean FAVORITE. It is beautiful and looks very light while giving excellent coverage, and it has a runway-chic dewy finish without looking oily! It has very fine shimmer, and SPF 15. I am 21 with very oily skin and my mom is 47 with very dry skin; she started using it and loves it more than I do! The sponge applicator is SO easy to use, it isn't messy at all! If you like to put your makeup on in the car, like me, it is perfect because it doesn't get all over your steering wheel- and you can carry it in your purse without it all spilling into the lid! Its awesome! It seems like you are not getting much product for the price, but I have been using mine for 2 months and still going strong!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

While Smashbox does have the number one foundation primer out there, and it is amazing for liquid, powder, and cream foundations... it is not a good primer for Bare Excentuals foundation. The consistency of this product is amazing, however, the formula is not right for a foundation that is applied with a brush. You'll feel like the makeup is just dusting right off of the primer. But if you are using any other foundation, this is amazing! I use it with Philosophy's powder foundation, Urban Decay's, etc...Look here.

Who better to make a foundation primer perfect for mineral and powder makeup than the most famous mineral makeup company? This primer is excellent and you do not have to use a mineral foundation over it. It works great with any powder foundation. It smooths and evens, and creates a perfect base to hold your makeup on all day and make it look the most beautiful that it can. Here it is.
